Between October 2024 and March 2025, the Museo del Prado transformed into a garden,
offering an exhibition itinerary through its galleries
featuring 26 works showcasing a marvel of botany. From paintings to sculptures, from ancient Rome to the Baroque period, each piece revealed its petals and leaves, all in service to art.
Each text highlighted an aspect
of artistic botany, imbued with rich and allegorical symbolism. Of course, there was also time to discuss plants that are very much like gardens.
Thousands of people swarmed through the Museo del Prado’s galleries, like butterflies in search of the next flower.
The exhibition was accompanied by a beautiful publication (
also available in English
), into which we poured a great deal of care to create a book brimming with beauty.
