I’m a gardener in love with art, a landscaper that enjoys painting with plants indoor and outdoor spaces. Since I was a child I enjoy playing with time and plants, growing them.
Mixing botany, gardening and art comes natural to me. As a botanical researcher in art history I really learn every day from the artists. As a gardener, I learn directly from nature.
I collaborate for Spanish institutions as the Museo del Prado, the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza, the Museo Lázaro Galdiano or the Fine Arts Museum of Bilbao and other foreign collections, identifying the botany in its artworks. I published research articles in catalogues for these institutions.
My first book, El Jardin del Prado (The Garden in the Prado) reached its 8th edition. It is about the plants that grows in the artworks in the Museo del Prado.
My second book, Una Flor en el Asfalto (A Flower on the Pavement, 4th edition), talks about the urban weeds, with a preface written by Gilles Clément.
